The Department of Anesthesiology, Pharmacology & Therapeutics is an academic and clinical unit of the Faculty of Medicine at The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada.

Established in 1951, its Faculty of over 20 members are devoted to research and teaching of
Pharmacology and Therapeutics in the Province
of British Columbia.

Current News

The Department of Anesthesiology, Pharmacology & Therapeutics is committed to excellence in Pharmacology and Anesthesiology education and research through creativity, hard work and by reaching out to the wider pharmacological community in carrying out our educational, research, and industry-related missions. We are striving to develop new research areas in pharmacology and therapeutics through the recruitment of new junior Faculty with diverse backgrounds and expertise. These will add to existing research strengths and collaborations both within the Department as well as throughout the University in our connections with the Department of Anesthesia and the Therapeutics Initiative. Along with these direct research efforts, we aim to maintain our award-winning excellence in teaching at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels.
